Thank you for your interest in submitting to Killing the Angel magazine. We are closed to submissions indefinitely. Issue 5, due out in December 2016, will be our final print issue for the foreseeable future. After the release of the issue, we hope to focus our energy on developing Killing the Angel Press and the release of other single titles. Issues 1-5 will all be available for backorder going forward, and we look forward to continuing to engage with our authors and readers on exciting future projects and endeavors! We are looking for contemporary writing that will grab a modern audience. Our fiction will have forward motion, finely drawn characters, and interesting conflicts. Essays should be focused and nuanced. Poetry should be specific and engaging.

We’re looking for writing that is funny, surprising, insightful, thoughtful, joyous, sad, and thought-provoking. We want fresh voices as well as seasoned voices. Above all, Killing the Angel is looking for writing that will resonate with our readers. Check out our interview on Six Questions For… for more information on submissions.

All published writing will be compensated with both financial payment and contributor copies.
